Family Support

We know that, at times, bringing up children is not always easy and we believe that parents and carers have the right to ask for help without feeling guilty or embarrassed. We also believe that parents and carers know their children best.

Our Family Support Service aims to provide the support that families themselves say they need. Our Parental Involvement Officer and Family Support Worker are available to work with families on an individual basis in their own homes or through groups to provide advice, support and guidance on a range of issues connected with being a parent. Such issues can include behaviour management, play/stimulation, routines, child development and general parenting. They can also put parents in touch with other organisations who provide support on more specific issues.
