CORE PROVISION CHILDREN WILL RETURN ON MONDAY, 20TH FEBRUARY
Brief History
Originally Canterbury Children's Centre was founded in 1985 by amalgamating Horton Park Nursery School and Canterbury Day Nursery to become the first combined Centre in Bradford. Since this time the Centre has been part of several government initiatives, such as South Bradford Education Action Zone, Early Excellence Centres, Sure Start Local Programmes and the Neighbourhood Nursery Initiative.
Many of these initiatives are now incorporated within the Government Programme for the development of Children's Centres within the National Sure Start Programme and we are well placed to continue to provide high quality extended services for babies and young children from 3 months to 5 years, and their families.

The Centre’s aim is to provide a range of high quality services that supports the development and responds to the interest of all children under 5 and their families, in a welcome and positive environment.
